New Energy Equity Commits Financing for NY - Sun Solar PV Incentive Program


New Energy Equity LLC announced today that the company has committed $8.0 million in investment financing for qualified projects that receive awards under the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) NY-Sun Solar PV Incentive Program and Competitive Solicitation Program for 2014 projects.

Under NYSERDA’s program, host customers, developers and construction companies submit applications for consideration under PON 2112 for small and medium sized solar projects and the soon to be released Solar PV Competitive Solicitation for large installations. PON 2112 provides cash incentives for new grid connected solar projects up to 200kW DC. The program is currently set to continue through December 31, 2015. The Solar PV Competitive Solicitation is due to be released in July of 2014. New Energy Equity will provide investment and financing resources through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for projects that have submitted or plan to submit applications for project funding.
