New Energy Equity names JB Jouve Chief Financial Officer

Annapolis, MD, February 22, 2019 – National solar developer and financier, New Energy Equity (NEE) announced today that Jean-Baptiste (JB) Jouve will join the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 11, 2019. Jouve will be responsible for supporting rapid growth by managing the internal and external finance functions of the organization.

New Energy Equity President, Matt Hankey said “JB has a wealth of experience working in finance in the energy sector that compliments our strategies. His background will help support our growth and bolster New Energy’s offerings to greatly benefit our company, our client base and our business partners. Jouve brings more than 14 years of experience in energy and finance. He joins NEE from Xcel Energy, a Fortune 300 company and progressive national utility leader in renewable energy. As Director of Finance for Xcel, he was part of the Corporate Development group within Xcel’s financial organization and contributed to renewable energy transactions for both the regulated utilities and the unregulated entities in close collaboration with the Accounting, Tax, Regulatory, Treasury and Investor Relations groups.

Prior to Xcel, Jouve covered the Utility sector and later the Independent E&P sector in Equity Research at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets and also worked in Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank. He started his career in Europe at EDF as a Smart Grid software engineer.

Jouve earned an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology, Grenoble, France.
