Stegemann Community Solar Garden
Stegemann Community Solar Garden
Completed in October 2023, the Stegemann Community Solar Garden in Wabasha, Minnesota was made possible through the partnership between New Energy Equity and local landowners. This 1.779 MW solar installation consists of over 3,600 panels and is designed to generate enough energy to power 217 average Minnesota homes annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 1,663 metric tons each year.
Thanks to the Xcel Solar*Rewards Community program, local businesses, municipalities, and school districts can subscribe to this solar garden and harness its renewable energy without needing to install solar panels on their own properties. Subscribers benefit from reduced energy bills while contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for Minnesota. Hosted by local landowners, this project exemplifies community-driven efforts towards environmental stewardship and energy savings.
