City of Muskegon Heights
New Energy Equity completed the first phase of a 645-kilowatt system in the City of Muskegon Heights, Michigan. New Energy Equity’s role in this project is to provide the upfront financing and oversee the installation of the solar array, allowing the city to pay no upfront costs on the project. New Energy Equity will continue to work to develop at least five solar projects that are expected to convert nearly 50% of the city's public buildings’ energy use to clean solar energy. In addition to the new jobs and clean energy this 645-kilowatt system will provide, the city anticipates an offset of about 47% of their current electric consumption.
