New Energy Equity (previously Impact Power Solutions) installed this 614 kW solar array at Design Ready Control’s headquarters and central production facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. The panels will produce roughly 724,685 kWh per year, enough to power 39 average Minnesota homes. Over 30 years the solar panel system will offset over 10,380 tons of CO2, the equivalent of adding over 11,000 acres of trees to our forests.

Incorporated in 1989, Design Ready Controls is a leader in the control panel manufacturing industry. When designing their new Brooklyn Park headquarters in 2015, sustainability was a focus. Along with a rooftop solar array, this facility features eco-friendly LED lighting and landscaping that utilizes a variety of native grasses, shrubs and trees to minimize the need for fertilizers, irrigation and other grounds maintenance.

As a part of our partnership with American Forests, New Energy Equity will assist in the planting of 614 trees, one for each kW of solar included in this project.
