New Energy Equity (formerly Impact Power Solutions) installed this 130.4 kW solar array in St. Paul, Minnesota to offset the electricity load of Macalester College.

The panels will produce roughly 155,000 kWh per year, enough to power 13 average Minnesota homes. Over 30 years the solar panel system will offset nearly 3,600 tons of CO2, the equivalent of adding over 3,800 acres of trees to our forests.

Macalester was founded in 1874 on a firm belief in the transformational power of the liberal arts education. Since then, their students and alumni have demonstrated that power as a force for positive change, in turn attracting a growing community of learners from around the world.
