New Energy Equity installed this 139 kW Photovoltaic solar electric energy system in Minneapolis, Minnesota to offset the electricity load of LifeSource, a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives through organ, eye and tissue donation in the Upper Midwest.

The panels will produce roughly 165,000 kWh per year, enough to power 13 average Minnesota homes. Over 30 years the solar panel system will offset nearly 3,700 metric tons of CO2, the equivalent of adding more than 4,000 acres of trees to our forests.

The system is highly flexible, allowing installs around HVAC units, so space is not wasted. We expect at least 30-40 years of useful life out of the system.
